Adeeb Razzouk is an actor, theatre maker, voice performer and experimental artist unpacking memory as a tool for healing. He has a Bachelor degree in acting from The Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts (Damascus). Coming from a strong technical background, his creative practice uses intersections of technology and theatre to tell stories that move and connect people across shared experiences.

While living and leaving Syria and Lebanon, Adeeb produced Forum Theatre works as an act of community resistance during the war. Have a Seat, What Do You Think? and Fly me to Mars! was a medium for collaborators to unpack power dynamics for political change; its process facilitated a reconnecting with ideas of possibility and imagination.

Adeeb is working on Papers from a High Castle - an interactive immersive performance using light as a poetic storytelling tool. The work was also selected for development with CuriousWorks’ Refugee Artist Development Program which assists newly arrived artists.

“Growing up in an ancient city, rich in culture, where documented stories survived generations of hardship, I discovered the importance of creativity as a tool of survival.
With my technical background and interest in multimedia, I enjoy exploring the artistic use of technology and its possibilities.” - Adeeb Razzouk
