SPECIAL EVENT

open_workshop.jpg

Tania’s workshops invite participants into the world of simultaneous perception using the rhythmic body and voice. All levels of experience welcome.

Actors are introduced to rhythmic concepts crucial to the development of the actor’s art: self awareness, timing and devising of ensemble work, intuitive rhythm and the articulate use of the body and voice.
Using these resources, actors will move toward building and heightening their responsiveness to action, theme and the ability to move in concert with an ensemble.
Tania works as a cross art-form performer, director, percussionist, dancer, vocalist and Advanced TA KE TI NA Rhythm Teacher. She currently teaches actors in the Diploma of Theatre Arts course at Victoria University, and has worked as guest rhythm and voice tutor for Melbourne Theatre Company’s Education program since 2002.

This workshop is highly suited to actors, physical theatre performers, dancers and teachers working in these disciplines.
