Come early for replenishing hangs in the arvo sunshine over food + drinks, featuring a queer shrine-making workshop, poetry, artist stall and more. Then as the sun goes down, transition into the rave space for an explosion of sonic talent, taking you everywhere from techno to breaks, booty bass to baile funk, rnb to rap and BEYONDDDD. 10/10. CRIP RAVE THEORY is a party and a proposition; drawing on intersectional disabled/crip knowledge to create more accessible rave/party spaces, with a focus on inter-community solidarity, self-expression, pleasure and expanding sound and club culture ❤️🔥
CRIP RAVE THEORY is anti-genocide, and is in solidarity with all colonised Indigenous peoples, in so-called Australia and worldwide. We will be amplifying the Crips for e-sims for Gaza mutual aid project at this event, providing QR codes in the space and encouraging people to contribute funds within their capacities.
This iteration takes place on unceded Gadigal Land. We are privileged and grateful to share these moments and come together on their sacred Country. Always was, always will be Aboriginal Land.
