During the residency, Amit German will experiment with embodied movement, experimental soundscapes and audiovisual glitch aesthetics to transform PACT into a site of queer futurity, digital ritual and soft protest. They plan to develop a performance and video work as part of a larger series Hard Drive Soft Core / Wetware Utopias, exploring error a queer portal: a site of failure and possibility, an invitation to inhabit the in-process glitch of becoming.
The residency builds on Amit’s early experiments at PACT during Queer Development Program in 2023, where test videos revealed the transformative potential of being raw and exploratory in the space. Themes of trans becoming, rupture, and catharsis guide the work, alongside ritual, discomfort, and nonlinear temporality.
