Theo Carroll is a multidisciplinary artist, lighting designer and producer with a practice that spans across theatre, live performance and film. His practice and approach is always collaboration and devised. As a trans mans he is particularly passionate about trans-led storytelling and process, whether that be artistically or by simple practice on how we collaborate on work.

As a lighting designer, his practice centres on atmosphere, spatial tension, and the relationship between light, bodies, and audience. Alongside his design practice, Theo is the co-founder of Red Zebra Productions, an independent production company creating immersive and multidisciplinary performance. His broader creative work includes immersive theatre, installation, and film.

Theo’s work is driven by collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to designing lighting that is felt as much as it is seen.
