Since 2004, Sam has worked across curation, artistic direction, programming, producing, strategy, development and communication in the arts and cultural sector with projects spanning Australia, Asia, the UK and Europe. Her expertise is in artistic development, partnership strategy, audience development and the ideation and delivery of public programs as well as festival, civic, and commercial commissions.

Sam was the Executive Producer at Performance Space, prior to this she was one of the Directors of  Sydney Contemporary and part of the launch team. In 2021 she launched Friends with Strangers where she works as an independent artistic director and producer working across a series of creative and curatorial developments, exhibitions, festivals and events. Her practice is artist-focused with a dedication to projects that seek wonder, connection, and revolution.
