Rica Canillas is a creative producer with a love of new work and backgrounds in performance and early childhood education. Before moving into the arts, she spent nearly a decade as an educator specialising in supporting children with disabilities, an experience that continues to inform her deeply people-centred, empathetic approach. Over the past seven years, Rica has worked across theatre and live performance, supporting artists to take risks and bring ambitious ideas to life. For the past four years Rica was the producer at Hayes Theatre Co, supporting artists to create award-winning musical theatre and cabaret. Rica is passionate about artist-led work, community, and making spaces where artists feel supported, brave, and excited to create.
