This graphic animation is a composite of photographs, drawings and magazine clippings gathered from a range of art and performance making happenings at PACT's Practise Access Practice residency during October 2023. Audio recordings from residency workshops have been transposed into midi signals and sent through digital synths, generating a score informed by the rhythm of relations throughout the project. These rhythms hold knowledge, secrets, complexity, freedom and form as a kind of access intelligence. Patterns emerge as promptly as they scatter, resonance and delay shape space and connection concepts deeply explored during the residency and knowledge circle meetings throughout 2023. This work is a digital rendering of that knowledge made manually frame by frame and invites the viewer to engage and reflect on notions of advancing access as a relational, emergent and ever growing coexistence.
