Queer Development Program | PACT x Performance Space

EOIs open 1st March and close 5pm Monday 27th March.

Now in its eleventh year, Performance Space’s Queer Development Program builds and strengthens queer creativity and performance in Australia.

Unique in Australia, the Queer Development Program provides opportunities for queer artists to develop their creative skills, performance ideas and industry connections. Intergenerational and community exchange is at the heart of the Queer Development Program.

The Queer Development Program (QDP) has two streams: Stephen Cummins Residency and Queer Workshop Intensive. The Stephen Cummins Residency is a two-week-long residency for queer artists or collectives to make significant progress towards creating a new performance work. The Queer Workshop Intensive is a five-day development program led by experienced facilitators, focused on practical and creative skills for developing queer performance.

The QDP is open to artists from across Australia from diverse backgrounds and performance disciplines, and some travel support may be available to interstate artists. All participating artists have the opportunity to present work in the Queer Nu Werk showcase.
