Steve Wilson-Alexander a theatre maker based in Wollongong, Australia, working independently and in collaboration with other artists. He is a founding member of re:group performance collective, a group who make ambitious live multimedia works from scratch, and Fast Princess, a short-film and theatre-making group operating out of Cerebral Palsy Alliance in Prairiewood. He was a member of PACT Collective 2015, and was Youth Artist in Residence at Wollongong Youth Centre 2012. In 2012, he also worked with Duong Le Quy on the Ben Tre Coconut Festival, and Hue International Drum and Percussion Festival, Vietnam. Recent work includes Artist Farm 2018 with Singaporean company The Theatre Practice as part of the the M1 Patch! International Theatre Festival; Route Dash Niner: Part 1 (2016) and 2 (2017) with re:group performance collective as part of Merrigong’s Studio Sessions program; Conspiracies (2017) with Shopfront Arts Co-Op Senior Ensemble, as co-devisor and performer; A Structural Experiment (2018) and The News (2017) as director/devisor with Fast Princess, the latter presented at Margot Hardy Gallery; and Unit (2017), directed by Kirby Medway as part of Shopfront Youth Arts Co-Op, presented at Belvoir St Theatre.
