imPACT SCHOLARSHIP ENSEMBLE 2009
contemporary performance practice

PACT IMPACT Ensemble is a scholarship program funded by BBM Ltd. It is offered to 20 young people (18-26 years) who will meet most Saturdays (10am – 4pm) throughout June to December. Participants will gain practical skills in movement, body awareness, voice, improvisation and devising performance. During the latter part of the year, the group will work towards the creation of a new performance and a 3-week season at PACT Theatre.

Performance laboratory for Indigenous Emerging Artists

Four Weeks Three Strands
August 24 - September 18 2009
 

 

 

Incubate is a performance laboratory for Indigenous emerging artists running from August 24 - September 19, 2009.

Located in Erskineville, NSW, PACT is a centre of contemporary performance - a platform for artistic exchange, experimentation and practical experience for emerging creators across art forms.
The program contains 3 strands. 

 

Strand one – a chance join a small ensemble of performance makers to participate in a creative process facilitated by Wayne Blair

Strand two - a chance for independent artists to explore a performance idea, in residence for 4 weeks and spending 20 hours with a mentor.

Strand three - students from local youth groups and schools will participate in a workshop and get to know the artists through Q & A session

Incubate will culminate in two showings on Friday September 18 & Saturday September 19,  7.30pm

ESTABLISHED INDIGENOUS ARTISTS - CHECK OUT PERFORMANCE SPACE'S INDIGELAB!

pspace.jpgIndigeLab is an intensive fourteen day research and development laboratory open to Indigenous artists from across Australia and from a broad range of artistic disciplines to explore new methodologies and practices in interdisciplinary arts, with an emphasis on performance. The program will be led by Wesley Enoch as lead facilitator, with the aid of artist Brook Andrew, and a third person yet to be announced. IndigeLab is set to be held at Bundanon, near Nowra NSW, in the first two weeks of November.
