Christie Woodhouse is a performance artist creating alternate experiences of public dialogue. Recent solo projects are: House on Fire (Shopfront Arts Co-op, ArtsLab residency 2017/18), Potato Potato Data Data (You Are Here Festival 2017), Sky Under Which We Live (DeQuincey Co, Platform 2017), and was one-sixth of PACT’s Rapid Response Team (2016) creating performance in 48hours, monthly. Her research has centered on the ethics and radical potential of social practice and community-engaged performance.
Working in CACD, she is the Production Assistant at Milk Crate Theatre, and has facilitated for Shopfront Arts Co-op, Cerebral Palsy Alliance, and The Joan. She’s a qualified disability support practitioner, with degrees in Performance from University of Wollongong (2013) and University of New South Wales (2016) Honours Class 1 in Theatre and Performance Studies, and recipient of the 2014/15 BBM/PACT drama award. She’s a Co-Artistic Director of Crack Theatre Festival (2018).
