3x3x2 is a two-year bespoke residency program for early career performance artists, independent companies and writers.

RESIDENT ARTISTS
3x3x2 offers early career performance artists space, mentorship, a salary and the freedom to test an idea driven investigation. 3x3x2 culminates in the premiere of 3 new performances in 2019.

The 3x3x2 Resident Artists are Emily DashCheryn Frost and Christie Woodhouse.

In 2018, artists will undertake a weeklong intensive at Testing Grounds in Melbourne. This intensive gives the artists an opportunity to share skills, investigate new methods of research and begin development of their new work. PACT’s Artistic Director Katrina Douglas and renowned playwright Lachlan Philpott will support and mentor the artist throughout the week. While at Testing Grounds, the artists will also meet with Melbourne artists and companies.

Following the intensive, each artist will undertake a 2-week, full time residency to develop their ideas and concept with support from a mentor. Resident artists will finish the year with a two week, part time shared space residency at PACT from Monday 19 to Friday 30 November. 2018 will culminate in an invite only sharing of the conceptual ideas explored throughout the year on Friday 30 November.

In 2019, Resident Artists will work with their creative and production team to realise their final performance, which premiere season at PACT during the year.

This two-year program is interlinked with atPACT, a two year residency for independent companies: and a residency for writers interested in reviewing and critical writing,
