PACT 2019 Program
PACT has prepared another HUGE year of experimental performance, exciting new works, intergenerational exchange and creative developments with both our resident artists and companies. This year we return with another four ambitious PACT Salons, each curated by a different curatorial team, a second season of Generations, three new and developed works by our resident companies, a festival of new works by our resident artists, and we are partnering with performance space again on their Queer Development Program!
Resident Artists and Companies
2019 marks the second and final year of our inaugural two-year residency program. At the beginning of 2018 we welcomed three outstanding resident artists and resident companies into the PACT space. Over this period our resident companies Karul Projects, Ninefold and Ten Tonne Sparrow, and our resident artists Emily Dash, Cheryn Frost and Christie Woodhouse have spent time honing their creative practices and developing new works in the space, both independently and with the assistance of mentors. They have hosted panels, shared knowledge, and most notably, they have presented new performances to broad audiences in both developmental and complete stages.
This year our three resident companies are back to present a final season of new and developed works, and, we are thrilled to announce that this August our resident artists will be showcasing three full-length performances in an exciting festival of new works.

3x3x2 Festival of New Works: Resident Artists
PACT Salons are one-night mini-festivals showcasing new works by Sydney's most compelling early career performance, visual and media artists. Salons are where art, party and critical dialogue collide in a unique interactive experience. Salons encourage artists and audiences to be curious, daring and inquisitive.
PACT is producing four Salons in 2019, each one programmed by a different curatorial team.

Launched in 2018, Generations features a work by an early career artist alongside a work by an established artist. Generations encourages greater dialogue between generations of artists and will contextualise work by early career artists within a broader framework. Generations 2019 will premiere ‘Sport Olympia’ by emerging performance collective Big Muscles Sad Heart; and ‘Arena’ by Martin del Amo and Anton.
Season: July 7 - July 14
